SEACHEM FRESH TRACE 250 mL

  • Trace elements supplement for freshwater fish
  • Contains only those elements actually demonstrated* to be required by fish

Overview

Fresh Trace™ supplies a broad range of trace elements demonstrated* to be necessary for proper fish health and growth. Unlike terrestrial animals, fish obtain nutrients from both their food and environment. Trace elements are normally depleted by utilization, oxidation and precipitation, thus it is important to restore them on a regular basis. Fresh Trace™ contains only those elements actually demonstrated* to be required by fish.

*Nutrient Requirements of Fish, National Academy of Sciences, pp. 16-21,1993.

Directions

Use 1 capful (5 mL) for every 80 L (20 US gallons) twice a week. Feed NutriDiet® Tropical Flakes for optimal fish health.

Overview

Stability® will rapidly and safely establish the aquarium biofilter in freshwater and marine systems, thereby preventing the #1 cause of fish death: "new tank syndrome". Stability® is formulated specifically for the aquarium and contains a synergistic blend of aerobic, anaerobic, and facultative bacteria which facilitate the breakdown of waste organics, ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate. The bacteria employed by Stability® are non-sulfur fixing and will not produce toxic hydrogen sulfide. Stability® is completely harmless to all aquatic organisms as well as aquatic plants, thus there is no danger of over use.

Stability® is the culmination of nearly a decade of research and development and represents the current state of the art in natural biological management.

The bacteria used in competing products are inherently unstable. The conditions necessary for their growth and development fall into a very narrow range of temperatures, pH, organic loads, etc. When any of these parameters are not strictly within the proper range, the bacterial culture quickly crashes and dies. Stability® is not limited this way. The necessary conditions for the growth of Stability's™ bacteria strains encompass a very broad range. When other bacteria begin to die off (usually from high organic loads caused by the undetected death of an organism), Stability™ simply becomes more effective.

Directions

Shake well before use. Turn off UV/ozone. Use 1 capful (5 mL) for each 40 L (10 US gallons) on the first day with a new aquarium. Then use 1 capful for each 80 L (20 US gallons) daily for 7 days. Fish and other aquatic species may be introduced at any time as long as dosage is maintained for 7 days. For optimum biofilter performance use 1 capful for each 80 L (20 US gallons) once a month or with each water change and whenever introducing new fish or whenever medicating an aquarium. Product shelf life is 4 years from date of manufacture. Stability® should ideally be used in conjunction with biological filtration such as Seachem Matrix™. For emergency ammonia control, use Seachem AmGuard™.

Overview

Acid Regulator™ adjusts pH to the acidic range (4.5–5.5) and softens water by precipitating calcium and magnesium. Acid Regulator™ supports the establishment of the optimal environment for all acid acclimated species (e.g. neons and other tetras, etc.). For further freshwater environment enhancement, use Fresh Trace™ to restore the proper level of trace elements and feed NutriDiet® Tropical Flakes for thriving, healthy freshwater community fish. Contains phosphate buffers and conditioning agents. Safe for all freshwater fish acclimated to acid pH.

Directions

Use 1 level teaspoon (5 g) for every 40 L (10 US gallons) daily until intended pH is reached. For precise dosing use the Seachem Digital Spoon Scale. Thereafter, use once a month or with water changes as required to maintain pH. To raise pH, use Neutral Regulator®. To target a particular pH use in combination with Neutral Regulator® following the chart. This chart assumes the use of unbuffered water (RO or DI). If water is already buffered use the chart as a starting guide. Use Prime® to dechlorinate tap water before doing a water change.

Overview

Reef Zooplankton™ is a concentrated blend of marine zooplankton designed to provide the essential fatty acids, proteins, vitamins, amino acids, with biological carotenoids for coral growth. The particle size range is 12.5-500 μm to feed a broad range of marine aquarium inhabitants. Reef Zooplankton™ contains a natural source of carotenoids which provides essential proteins as well as a more bioavailable source of pigmentation when compared to other natural sources and synthetic pigments. Carotenoids provide the extra benefit of antioxidant activity. In addition, Reef Zooplankton™ is enhanced to increase the bioavailability of important nutrients such as proteins, lipids, B vitamins, and other organic pigments, thus, corals expend less energy to derive the nutritional benefit. It is blended to contain proper ratio of fatty acids, carbohydrates, and proteins.

Directions

Shake well before using. Add 1 capful (5 mL) per 200 L (50 US gallons) of water twice weekly or as required to maintain coral growth. For best results, dose directly to aquarium; target feeding can overwhelm corals and have a negative impact. Refrigeration after opening is recommended, but not required.

Overview

Pristine™ uses bio-augmentation, a non-chemical and natural method, to improve water quality. It provides bacteria that break down excess food, waste and detritus in freshwater and marine systems. It will also reduce excess nutrients (e.g. ammonia, nitrates, and nitrites) that may fuel the growth of nuisance and disease-causing organisms. Pristine™ increases water clarity and promotes overall better health for the aquatic environment.

The species of bacteria in Pristine™ are a unique blend, specifically developed for hardiness and their ability to adapt to a wide variety of environmental conditions.

The bacteria species in Pristine™ thrive in fresh or salt water and can utilize a wide range of organic compounds, including fats that can cause unsightly films. Unlike traditional nitrifying bacteria, this bacterial blend can adapt to harsh or low oxygen environments and continue to multiply and improve water conditions. Biopolymers produced by established bacterial colonies trap particulates and increase water clarity.

Directions

Shake well before use. Turn off UV/ozone. Use 1 capful (5 mL) for each 40 L (10 US gallons). Then use a maintenance dose of 1 capful (5 mL) per 80 L (20 US gallons) with additions of livestock or the disruption of the biofilter through cleaning or medications. Antibiotics should be removed with fresh carbon and a water change before adding bacteria. Allow 2 or 3 days for the bacteria to become established before using UV sterilizers or ozone. Recurring problems with high nutrients can indicate overstocking, overfeeding or inadequate filtration.

Overview

Reef Dip™ contains elemental iodine complexed to a protective slime coat for safely and gently disinfecting corals. It is effective against bacteria, fungus, and protozoans. It may be used prophylactically (without evidence of disease) or to remedy diseased specimens. It is safe to use with both stony and soft corals. It is also safe for anemones and polyps. Reef Dip™ provides a protective slime coat complex that covers the coral, holding the iodine in contact with the infected site for extended periods of time. In addition, the slime coat prevents infection from re-rentering the site.

Directions

Do not use in the aquarium. Use in a separate container. Remove 4 L (1 US gallon) of water from the source aquarium to a container suitable for dipping. Add 5–10 mL (1–2 capfuls) of Reef Dip™ and mix. Place coral specimen in dip for 15–30 minutes, depending on severity of problem. In very severe cases, a double dose may be used. With clear and accessible lesions, dip concentrate may be painted on lesions directly before placing in dip. Observe animals during treatment for evidence of adverse reactions such as excessive sliming.
